Pentacle use quality ebony-log, box-wood log, rose-wood log as raw materials for making Pegs, Chinrests, Tailpieces, Endpins, Fingerboards, and Mutes are procured legally from Govt. Forest depot.

Ebony-Log

Scientific name :diospyros ebenum
Family : Ebenaceae
Origin :- North East India ( Chotonagpur ) Plateau in the dense forest .
Color :- Naturally Zed black ,some brown striped in straight grain is used .
Kinds of Ebony for use :- 50 years minimum aged and dense Ebony. A log 4ft-5ft diameter and 18-20 ft height minimum is used for making the fine quality fittings/parts.
Cutting : – Quarter swan surface cutting
Method of Processing :- Seasoned for 3-4 years naturally after sectioning the wood and seasoned artificially by kilning process if necessary.

Rosewood-Log

Scientific name:- dalbergia latifolia
Family:- Fabaceae
Origin :- North East India and South India Plateau – in the dense forest.
Color : – Naturally Dark Red, Light Red, and Chocolate in straight grain is used.
Kinds of Rosewood for use : – 50 years minimum aged Rosewood. A log of 3ft-3.5ft diameter and 18-20 ft height minimum is used for making the fine quality fittings/parts.
Cutting : – Quarter swan & Flat surface cutting .
Method of Processing : – Seasoned for 2 years naturally after sectioning the wood and seasoned artificially by kilning process if necessary.

Boxwood-Plank

Scientific name :- buxus sempervirens
Family :- Buxaceae
Origin :- Foothills of North East India Plateau , Foothills of North India Mountain.
Color :- Naturally White in color, but stained by chemical process according to the choice of the buyers such as Brown, Reddish, or deep orange.
Kinds of Boxwood for use :- 10-12 years minimum aged Boxwood. A log of 1.5ft-2ft diameter and 12-14 ft height minimum is used for making the fine quality fittings/parts.
Cutting : – Quarter swan surface cutting .
Method of Processing :- Seasoned for 5-6 months naturally after sectioning the wood.
